LOL! I read somewhere that the major ISP's discontinued all the usenet groups because of some legislation clamping down on file sharing of copyrighted music and videos. Rather than block binaries evidently they just shut it down. Never was a profit-center for them.

AOL did that a few years ago. But then Usenet usage has been
on the decline for several years now.
But coming back to distilling, did you want to ask a question
about ethanol for fuel or about moonshine.
Moonshining is still legal in New Zealand and still illegal in
the United States. However, not many farmers have to buy their
own alcohol.
