I recently scored a vintage 10 gal. copper kettle on ebay, apparently
retrofitted for EZ mashing. It's got a threaded spigot to connect to a
Bazookoid, and came w/ a few jerry rigged goodies. It is thin walled (22
ga.?) which has pros & cons.

I want to install a thermometer & maybe a sight glass thru the wall.
Blichmann lists 2 Brewmometers: a 1/2" NPT or a 1/4" NPT fittings. I'll
gladly drill through the wall, however, I'd rather drill a smaller hole.

Blingmann's 1/4" NPT weldless Brewmometer is largely unavailable/out of
stock.

Question A is: Does anyone know if the 1/4" unit is discontinued, or
simply so popular that they fly off the shelf?

Question 2 is: does anyone have an alternate choice for this
application?

All input greatly appreeshed... TIA & regards, bob

Dude! sorry about blowing up yer spot with the extra parts... those
fittings look ok, but the Brewmometer only has a 3" probe. I'd need some
probe viagra to make that combo work! With absolutely no solid info upon
which to base my selection. the Blichman-mometer looks totaly sexy &
desirable and I MUST HAVE ONE! But they both need a 1/2" NPT fitting...
