I would be very careful about any late Dali. There were reports in the
Wall Street Journal and other publications that quality control was
erratic and that Dali signed/authorized many thousands of blank pieces of
paper. My memory is not terribly clear but I would check with a very
reputable Dali expert or museum before making any investments in Dali works.
There were a number of art galleries involved in fraudulent Dali works that
were at least charged legally with the fraud. Most, if not all, of these
galleries are out of business.
This piece may be exactly as represented and highly collectible but do not
buy *any* Dali without getting an informed opinion from an expert.
