Hello Villagers,

I collect Gault Miniatures. They are wonderful houses produced in France.

They recreate European cities and areas of Paris, Provence, Tuscany.

Are there any other collectors or sites other tan internovea.com

I have a few Gault houses I picked up when I lived in Germany, but I'm
not an active collector. However a few months ago I sent them an e-mail
and asked if there was a distributor in the US. They sent information on
the current line and a contact overseas, but they do not have a US
distributor. I've never seen any other web sites that mention Gault
houses, other than their own site.

Good luck!

I have seen a brochure of the Gault houses and love them. Would like
to have some but don't know where to purchase them? Where did you get
yours. Thanks for the info.

I have to correct something from my last post. I just noticed an ad for
Gault Houses in the Nov 96 issue of "Collector Editions". The ad shows a
US distributor after all! It's Mitchell International Trading of Carmel
IN, telephone 317-582-0768, e-mail 10351...@compuserve.com You learn
something new every day, I guess!

I need to correct something from my earlier post. In looking through the
Nov issue of "Collectors Editions" tonight I just spotted an ad from
Mitchell International Trading in Carmel IN. They carry Gault, both the
Provence and Paris collections. Their phone number is 317-582-0768,
e-mail is 10341...@compuserve.com. This is the first indication I've
seen that Gault is actually distributed in the US .

I don't collect Gault (yet! :-) ) but I finally saw them in real life at
the Secaucus Collector's Expo. I fell in love with the Paris scenes.
Someday...

I remember thinking that the Gault miniatures, more than any other village
collectibles lines I've seen, really made me feel like I was there.

Hi,

I might have a partial set of Gault's. I don't remember who made the ones I
have. They are of the village of Eze in France. Do you know if Gault produced
a set like this or know of who did ... I had a card, but have misplaced it.

Thanks!

Trent,

The Gault pieces I hav seen have Gault stamped near the base, a code
number of the piece, date produced, the initials of the artists. There are
village buildings of St. Paul de Vince (Provence, France), San Gimmigiano
(Tuscany, Italy), City buildings of Paris, France and San Francisco.
Rolland at www.internovae.com has been very helpful in answer questions
about the Gault Company and the product lines.

Good Luck. Martha

Hello Again,

Enesco has linked with Gault in producing a resin, not fired clay, for the
"tourist trade". This series is not as detailed and carved designs appear
primarily on one side not on all 4 sides. Therefor, not as expensive.
They are sold under the name Dominique Gault or Carlton. Dominique is a
brother of Jean-Pierre Gault the originator.

I have a Gault miniature that says FRANCE BC N9 but I can't find it anywhere to learn about it. Any ideas?

I just found my first Gault buildings and I am just stunned by how wonderful they are! This posting has been the most information I have found. I would like to know what the scale of the buildings is. Dollhouse is much bigger at 1:12, military models are 1?35, and model railroad is 1:24. To enrich my vignette, I am trying to find compatible accessories, since it appears the Gault line is no longer being made, correct? Anyone have any idea what the scale is?

Hi. My name is Mary Mitchell. My husband was the distributor of the Gault line here in the USA our company was Mitchell International trading. They are indeed a wonderful line as Mr Gault was such a talented sculptor We used to sell the ceramic pieces as well as the other resin lines. My husband passed away but I kept the company going until 2005. However I still have a stock of these minatures for sale. Later I will put up maybe a shop on eBay to sell my remaining inventory. I am extremely busy but will try my best to see what sny of you need. You can contact me at mcmitc...@gmail.com

I am currently in the process of listing houses from the TUSCANY collection in my ebay store named SILVERSPRINGFARM. I also have A london house and what appears to be 2 victorians that shriek of San Francisco. I addition, I have J. Carlton pieces that are from the Wild West, and also J. Carlton "Dans le Meme" plaster pieces - a tile and two bookend/letterholder/desk set type things from the Washington DC.

I have Gault several miniatures I am selling for both Paris and Provence. Most are hand carved Gault miniatures, not the machine made J Carlton. Some are signed personally by Gault. If you are interested i can send you pictures of all and pricing. I am moving and downsizing. I love my Gault but have no room.
