An exhibition of Caravaggio and his inflencees
opens today in Sydney.
The exhibition will be travelling, but not to (yawn) sleepy old Perth.
So it's off to Google for me.

Apart from this self portrait, anyone aware of any Caravaggio on stamps?
Thanks.

Rodney,
There are plenty of Caravaggio's on stamps.
I am on my way out right now, but will reply
directly to you later, also with a list of stamps.
Mette

Thanks Mette,
In your own good time.
That is the only one I have in my 40,000 collection!

I hope I am not asking too much to see one
of the "Card Sharps"? ..........One of my favourites.

Thank you very much, Victor.
Excellent!
This Sydney/Melbourne exhibition will feature 60 paintings
which have taken 8 long years to organise.
It must be a nightmare in organisation, insurance and transport.
I read recently of US contributions to a European stamp expo back in the 80's
where a total of some hundreds of millions of dollars in collections
were sent on numerous flights to offset the risk of loss.
This exhb must have been a real knuckle biter.

Thank you Blair.
I can now see a small crack in the darkened window of appreciation for "labels"
I hadn't seen many of his works, and I must say, they are rather wonderful.

G'Day Rodney!

On leave - not bl**dy likely. 8*)

The doc said I did so well in rehab, from the stroke,
that he sent me back to work - part time to start.

S'truth , if I hadn't done so well, it might have
been an early retirement instead.

Started working on a 15 month backlog of e-mail
(16000) messages. 38*O

Happy to hear it, Blair!

As for backlog e-mails, I wonder what a % of them is just spam.
