The Magic of John F. Kennedy Appears on AmeriVox phonecards!
On 17 November 1994, AmeriVox launched another spectacular phonecard
series, this time in tribute to John F. Kennedy, Thirty-fifth U.S.
President, International Leader and Icon. The phonecards depict
photographs of John and Jacqueline Kennedy taken by one of the world's
most brilliant photographers, Jaques Lowe, President Kennedy's personal
photographer from 1958-1963.

In a tribute to the American Spirit, AmeriVox has brought out another
incredible series of cards. A series of phonecards honoring the life and
art of Norman Rockwell, America's most beloved artist. AmeriVox is proud
to have the worldwide, exclusive rights from The Curtis Publishing
Company, to 325 of Norman Rockwell's Saturday Evening Post covers.
During a good portion of the 20th century Norman Rockwell dominated
the covers of the Saturday Evening Post, capturing Americans as they
wanted to see themselves. He once said, "The view of life I paint
excludes the sordid and ugly. I paint life as I would like it to be."
Rockwell and his artwork are Quintessentially American. The intensity,
attention to detail and brilliance in his artwork make him one of the
world's most gifted artists.
But it wasn't so much how he painted: The technique or the medium, it
was what he painted that gives Rockwell a lasting place in the pantheon
of American artists. In a 60 year retrospective published in 1971,
Thomas S. Buechner wrote: "For many he records the time of our pride
with such passionate accuracy and gentle humor that we are overwhelmed
with the joys of nostalgia." Time after time in viewing the works of
Rockwell we are caught up in a world that reveled in the cheerful,
sometimes comical scenes of everyday life. The AmeriVox series vividly
brings back that world.
