The site has recently been featured in the February issue of World
Coin News. The new edition of Colin R. Bruce II's catalog of Unusual
World Coins will be coming out very shortly; this will be the first
edition since 1992. Our members have contributed to the growth of this
particular area of numismatics, and there are literally dozens of new
coin-issuing entities that will finally appear in the catalog.
Since 2003, the USNS has grown from a discussion/message group at
Yahoo Groups, thanks to noted numismatists whose special interest is
this particular sub-category of coins. The USNS specializes in the
study of coins, medallic pieces, banknotes and related numismatic,
pseudonumismatic and exonumismatic material issued by unrecognised
states, alternative governments, rebel and secessionist groups,
political associations, alternative currency promoters, chivalric
orders, new country projects, micronations and related entities,
commercial organisations, artists, writers, film makers, royal
pretenders and exiles, fantasists and utopian visionaries.
We have our own Message Board, Reference Library, and Coin Library.
The site is only 1 month old, but it already has plenty to offer.
Membership per year is $15; in the future, only members will have
access to the Coin Library and other pages.
So please visit us if you are interested in the coinage from:

> [...] RCC (rec.collecting.coins) [...]
I notice that RCC is not listed in the Library:
http://www.usns.info/coinlibrary.html
I wonder what category RCC should be listed under? Royal Pretender is
the obvious first choice, but Rebel Governments or Alternative
Currencies seem appropriate as well.
