Is there something special about this Japan 100 Mon?

I buy these when I see them between $2 and $10 - a very very sideline
numismatic interest.

I was an early bidder on this one, it is nice but now it seems very
pricey:

Oh, I think the piece is good, as in authentic. But it seems to be
the normal issue of Edo and Osaka, not one of the minor cities who
issued such pieces.

Sometimes you gotta buy from a horse-shit artiste. But this doesn't
seem to be one of those times, unless I'm missing something.

I was thinking more in terms of the motivations of the other bidders, who
seem to have fallen for the romanticized story.
