Bend police have recovered nearly a million dollars worth of
precious coins and jewelry in connection with a home burglary
in September 2008. Connie and Dakotah Yarborough were
arrested. The victim is Dakotah's stepmother.

Two million dollars in gold, jewelry, silver, and precious
coins were originally stolen. During the initial
investigation, 1200 lbs. of silver had been recovered.
The initial investigation also led detectives through three
states including Hawaii.
On April 14, the Bend Police Department recovered 403 1 oz.
American Eagle Gold Bullion coins (worth current market
value of approximately $963.00 per coin) and approximately
$600,000 in jewelry in connection with this case.
The gold and jewelry were buried at an undisclosed
location.
Connie Yarborough was sentenced to 45 days in jail and
five years probation. Dakotah Yarborough plead guilty to
22 counts including burglary, money laundering and
identity theft. He's expected to be sentenced on April
29th.
