Pope John Paul VI (1963-1978) Silver Medallion


I have for sale the Pope John Paul VI (1963-1978) Silver Medallion. The
medallion measures
1 1/2" in diameter with serrated edge, and features a head and shoulder
photo of
Pope John Paul VI wearing his mitre and states: "Paulus VI, Pont. Maximus".
The reverse side on the medallion features, St. Peter's Basilica in St.
Peters
Square, Vatican City, Rome, and states: "PAX"
The Pope John Paul VI (1963-1978) Silver Medallion is in excellent
condition.
Price $12. US plus postage

I believe that I saw this exact item earlier on ebay; you don't have
the correct dates or names on this papacy (and didn't in your auction
title and description) and if I did see/remember your specific
auction, well, your statement that a "family member bought it on a
trip to Rome in 1965" doesn't jive.

Paul VI was Pope from late (October?) 1963 until August 1978; then
John Paul I served for 33 days; then John Paul II was elected in
September 1978 and reigned until April 2005.

Unless one has a reference book that clearly backs you up, the word
"silver" should be used very cautiously when dealing with items
related to the Vatican City.
