Seems like negative feedbacks began around Dec 1. If shipped as media
mail, it can take up to 2 weeks to arrive. OTOH, could be a medical
problem too. Pretty quick for negatives if you ask me...oh, but you
didn't! 8-)

I bought a DVD from the guy in late Nov., just before all the negs
started. He'd gotten a couple of negs for nondelivery before this, but
almost all his feedback was positives. I gave him the benefit of the
doubt, though in hindsight I could have gone with somebody with zero
negs or bought through Amazon.com, which I eventually did anyway.
The process for me wasn't uninteresting because I've been doing eBay
forever and the money involved including shipping was only $20.50.
eBay's Buyer Protection program worked as advertised. I initiated
contact with the seller around four weeks after paying for the item. He
gave me what sounded like a lame excuse about his local post office
saying it was going to return to him the DVD, and he wanted me to give
him my address again so he could try shipping it again. I said I just
wanted a refund and that he could cancel the transaction and get his
fees back. He ignored this.
I did as instructed by eBay and asked it to intercede, telling eBay that
since paying for this item the seller had received 50, that's right, 50
negs for nondelivery. eBay the next day messaged me that it had refunded
to PayPal the entire sum I had paid, which it did.
Maybe the seller does have a legitimate reason for not sending all these
items, but he made no mention of it to me. I suspect he'll very soon be
NARUed. I don't know how good eBay is these days in preventing NARUed
sellers from selling again from new I.D.s.

This thread is entirely off-topic, a problem that normally sends RG into
paroxysms of rage, bemoaning the incivility of Usenet, the general low
intelligence level of the poster and the audacity of anyone who would disagree

Besides, anybody in SUCH a visible SADD public free-fall is usually a
really really close personal friend of Reamo...
I think that so little time has elapsed that something unfortunate,
illness or possibly death, could have happened to the seller.

Some of the negative were given less than a week after the auction end, totally
unwarranted given the Media Rate delivery time can take up to 2 weeks.

My gut was that the negs were a bit on the quick side. May be

I didn't neg the guy. Seemed pointless, since he'd gotten 50 negs in the
four weeks immediately after I bought and something like 20 more up to
yesterday. Since I commented about the probability of his being NARUed
yesterday, he has in fact been NARUed (that means Not A Registered User,
or had his eBay account canceled, which some eBay newcomers may not
know, and this seller actually appears to have been a relative newcomer
to eBay).
I can only guess what happened, but I don't think he died (as speculated
in this thread) or got sick, for the reasons I said before. I don't
think his account was sabotaged either. He had up on eBay at any given
time a lot of DVDs and the negs he received appeared from a quick glance
to be from different accounts and all for nondelivery. But you never
know, I guess.
As I mentioned he'd gotten a couple of negs for nondelivery, out of
something like 80 positives, before I bought, during the six months or
so he'd been on eBay (or on eBay with this account). I don't remember
when he got the negs. But maybe what happened was that he got pissed off
at the negs, or with something else to do with eBay buyers, or
everything about the process, and and just stopped shipping while still
putting up his auctions. You know, "Screw them," or something like this.
I've seen worse behavior ... in this very newsgroup. <g>
That's just a guess, though. In his last email, sent about a week ago,
he talked about wanting to resend the DVD to me and thanking me for my
understanding. I didn't buy this, and as I said before I told him I just
wanted my money back, politely, but he didn't respond to this, so I had
to get eBay Buyer Protection to refund it.

I was wrong here. This seller hasn't been NARUed yet. But his feedback
score is now a stunning 58.5%. It looks like he's been on eBay, or at
least selling from this account, for eight months. Yesterday, Dec. 10,
he got one positive feedback ... along with 13 negs. In one of the negs,
the buyer indicated he didn't get his item and this seller asked why was
he complaining since eBay gave him a refund and said that buyers
shouldn't wait to make a claim. The strange gets stranger.

I got this the first time I looked using your tiny url link. I almost
posted that he was gone, but tried the real link and saw his feedback.

Yep, you're right. Who knows what this seller is up to. The feedback
comments are interesting reading, in their way, if you follow eBay
culture. I read through just the most recent though.
