Break In at Sam Sloat Coins
A thief smashed a window at Sam Sloat Coins on
Post Road East in Westport tonight and made
off with an unknown quantity of merchandise,
police said.
The store at 606 Post Road East opposite
Shaw's Supermarket was hit shortly before 10 p.m.
A witness near Shaw's spotted a man fleeing in
a white vehicle shortly after the break in,
according to a radio alert broadcast to area
police departments.
Sam Sloat Coins, a Westport mainstay since 1961,
deals in coins, jewelery, sports memorabilia
and other items.
