Yes. You need three fellows to recommend you... one from personal
knowledge and two from general knowledge. You need to be nominated and
elected at one of the monthly meetings in order to become a fellow
(there are no meetings during the Summer).

The RNS was founded in 1836. Membership is I believe now only 20 pounds
(about $32) per annum (luse a 5 pound entrance-fee), which includes the
annual issues of Numismatic Chronicle.
