today the rip off coin changer slot delivered up a good coin. it was a silver
1960 phillipines 10 centavo. from the size and weight, i'm guessing it was
minted by the u.s. mint. condition was vf, it's clean with only honest wear.
this seems to be my silver month. the bank had $864 in halves and i found
211 40%, 64 90% and 11 proofs, 1 of which was a franklin. the rest were not
silver.
i'm only 19 40% halves short of a full bag for the year. still a few days to
make it. best find was a 3 1/2 letter liberty 1915. that's the second 1915,
the first was a old school vg. i would call the latest a fine but market
graded, i've seen poorer vf's. i donated it to the local kid's hospital
auction. that hasn't taken place yet, but i have high hopes for it.
while not my best numerical amount year, because of the metal prices, it is
the most profitable.

That is some fine silver 'mining'... keep up the good work ;)

I used to get rolls of halves, but I shifted this year to cent rolls
in an attempt to
acquire this year's commemorative reverses.
