When you start out a post with a thinly veiled cheap shot (yes everyone sees
through it) it does not lend much credibility to your posts.

I talked to Susan McMillan of the ANA in December, and she said that
CCW consists of
the same people as the ANA Collector protection Committee shown here

http://www.money.org/Content/NavigationMenu/Security/CommitteeInfoMinutes/default.htm

along with a couple of people who work for eBay's Trust & Safety. She
stated that the CCW
members only see a few complaints...the vast majority are handled by
eBay staff untrained
in numismatics, and when the most serious things are reported, such
the fake bust dollars in
fake PCGS and NGC slabs, they see that the 'coin" is in an "approved"
slab, that the serial
number on the slab matches what is typed into the description, and
that there is a photo
of both sides of the complete slab, and then take no action on the
report.

McMillan suggested that I post the link to the ANA Collector
Protection Committee on
the ebay coin forum, since the committee members have always welcomed
hearing
concerns from collectors, whether they are ANA members or not.

I did so, and ebay deleted the message within 5 minutes, claiming that
I had "posted
private email addresses"

I responded that I had posted a LINK to the organization that was
ebay's PARTNER to
prevent FRAUD at THEIR REQUEST.

THAT message was deleted.

I received a 30 day suspension (from the ebay discussion boards) for
posting a message discussing a previously deleted message.

Alan Herbert (ANA board member and "Mr Answerman") called me on the
phone and
was furious that ebay was impeding communication to the committee set
up to HELP
ebay prevent fraud. He vowed to question ANA's partnership with ebay
at the next board meeting,
since the ANA has two lawsuits caused by eBay's stupid implementation
of their policies, such
as threats of reports to law enforcement for simply MENTIONING
PCI or SEGS anywhere in an item description, (and earlier, implying
that such coins were counterfeit
by saying that the listing violated the "counterfeit item policy.")
and then giving a link "for more information"
that goes to an internal ebay page but features the ANA logo!

Sure enough, the January minutes contains this:

The ANA should carefully review its
relationship with eBay considering the current litigation and eBay’s
policies pertaining to the online sale of
numismatic items on ebay

What action do you think they should take based on those facts Fwankie?
Pull an auction based on speculation that a coin is fake when their
investigation can't prove it?
Aren't you the one who is always whining about his auctions being yanked
by eBay?
Hypocrite!

I am an honest dealer, who puts in a lot of unpaid volunteer time to
make this a better and safer hobby. You, one the other hand, have
posted over 300 messages here trying to destroy my business and
reputation, calling me a liar, calling me "Fwankie," encouraging
people to report my auctions when no violation exists, posting links
accusing me of being a child abuser, telling people not to trust
anything I say.

And then when I stand up against your outrageous and false claims, you
attempt to use that to convince others that I am being paranoid or
that I am the one harming YOU.

I have asked you publicly, privately, even on the phone to PLEASE
CEASE DEFAMING ME.

It's obvious that you likely are mentally ill, since you have a google
record of similar behavior in the book groups going back at least 15
years. But that's not an excuse, because you KNOW what you are doing

What has this got to do with your hypocrisy in calling on eBay to remove
auctions when you whine about your own auctions being yanked?
I have never encouraged anyone to report auctions which did not violate
eBay regulations. Therefore you ARE a liar.
I have never accused you of child molestation, I have pointed out that
there have been shocking allegations of child abuse leveled against you
by others on Usenet and that only after you made references as to what
others have claimed about me on Usenet and elsewhere. Therefore you are
again lying.
You have a record of claiming harassment and defamation on Usenet going
back over a decade, so your trustworthiness is clearly open to debate.
You like to play the victim Fwankie but the fact is you cause your own
problems and are detested by many Usenet readers in several groups.

>And then when I stand up against your outrageous and false claims, you

Your history demonstrates that you have periodically set up straw dogs
on eBay claiming that they are defaming you etc.

Your history on Usenet is not likely to convince anyone of your mental
stability, Fwankie.
You go out of your way to antagonize me and then whine about what a
victim you are.

If you don't like people responding to your posts, stop posting on
Usenet.
Otherwise expect the public at large to feel free to comment upon the
crap you post.
Have a great day, Fwankie!

I think you are the one that needs to stop posting on the Usernet.
You rag Frank
on everything he posts here and have had his business shut down
several times with
your false campaigns. I don't see how your actions are not a criminal
act and you
are not in jail.

No thanks, Mr. Sockpuppet.

The nature of Usenet is that people respond to each others posts. You
seem to have a problem grasping that simple fact.

>and have had his business shut down several times with your false

I have not the power to "shut down" Fwankie's business, eBay did that
for him - several times, if he is to be believed.
I have not waged a "false campaign" against Fwankie either.

You have libeled me with your posts in the past and even threatened me
with violence ("Texas justice"), so I don't see how you are not in jail.

It's interesting to note that you are in the Dallas-Ft.Worth area and
the bulk of your posts consist of "defending" Fwankie.

Fwankie, how is opining on your professionalism conducting a "false
campaign"?
Your behavior on Usenet has been one of constantly complaining that
people are conspiring against you. Don't deny it as it can be easily
verified.
Your history on eBay has, by your own admission, been one of being
repeatedly suspended and having your auctions yanked.
I don't like you Provasek and I don't mind letting the world know it.

I am not a sockpuppet. I have known Frank for many years, and I was
on the board on the Fort Worth COin CLub when he was president. He is
a good and honest man and your smears are unwarrented, and I will
respond when I see them on this board.

I have no idea what Bob might be doing sub rosa, but it is incumbent upon
eBay to differentiate between legitimate reporting of violations and smear
campaigns, and I have enough confidence in them to make that call
accurately. Ebay generally removes auctions that its reviewers deem to be
in violation of their terms, providing that they become aware of them. It
normally does not happen automatically, though, and not in all cases even
when the most egregious auctions are reported. I suggest you more carefully
review your own accusations before you hit "send."

It appears to be a belief that eBay pulls auctions based upon what is said
in this newsgroup. I do not necessarily defend their entire business model,
but I can't imagine them revealing the contents of private communications
with them. They're much smarter than that.

I've traced Usenet posts going back almost 9 years of Frank complaining
that people were trying to "sabotage" his business.
Almost as long ago, he was complaining about eBay.
More recently, Frank was notorious for listing auctions that clearly
violated eBays new regulations and then making groundless complaints of
an R.C.C. "conspiracy" for getting his auctions yanked and his account
suspended.
Frank's apparent use of meat/sock puppets to bolster his reputation is
really very sad, almost pathetic.
