Obama, who campaigned on the promise to extract us from the pointless
war in Iraq, now says he plans on leaving 50,000 (!) troops there
indefinitely.
Obama should be impeached.

Are you suggesting he mis-spoke? Did he actually say "indefinitely"? Or
is it more like the same interpretation the media had of McCain's Iraq
proposals during his campaign? Anyway, I would imagine it will take quite
a long time just to gather up whatever vehicles, weapons, and equipment from
all over the country that we plan to take home. However many troops remain
to turn out the lights after the combat brigades have left would be no more
than a Sunday crowd at a Yankees game. And I never heard any candidate say
that we would have drawn down to zero in the the next ten years.

Once again, I'm not an Obama supporter, but once again, you're
misstating his campaign promises:

See:
http://www.barackobama.com/issues/iraq/#phased-withdrawal

Quoting:
Under the Obama-Biden plan, a residual force will remain in Iraq and
in the region to conduct targeted counter-terrorism missions against
al Qaeda in Iraq and to protect American diplomatic and civilian
personnel.

He did claim all combat troops would be out in 16 months. This
plan seems to run 20 or so.

As is true with ALL politicians, not just in the US, but everywhere:
"Promise them anything, but give them Arpege".

Also be aware that the only presidential administration that didn't
blame the previous one for their problems was George Washington's.

Not so, he blamed King George III

A conclusion is simply the place

When posting that I actually did go back and insert the word
'presidential' to avoid the Crazy George response.
Oh well. 8-)
