Yep, and the (6% Iowa) sales tax is a helluva lot more than the $1 that
the mint sez goes toward the national debt from FOE for a 1/10 oz. How
much was your sales
tax return last month, FOE? AND, if I charged as much as FOE for 1/10
ozers ($72+) rather than the $40 or so I get, I'd be glad to pay those
commissions...only trouble is, I couldn't sleep nights if a ripped off my
customers that badly.

All of the content below is just my opinion...not all of you may agree
with my opinion, though...........
Seems like FOE is like Gobrecht, Paul Sims, Mt. Vernon, etc. in the
bullion field, but recently when I saw a post from a fellow r.c.c'er, I
was shocked to see that they listed 'numismatics' as a keyword for their
homepage (apparently to get more hits..... Shame on FOE and very
disgraceful, all IMHO, of course)
About a day ago, someone at some coin show here in some city told me
that he actually was at a show in some state where FOE was expelled
(There was a post on this....look it up in Dejanews, with the subject in
your search as "Family Of Eagles expelled"). When you see a coin dealer
being expelled from a show, that probably indicates that dealer is
"bad," but in some cases, the dealer is not "bad," maybe just had a bad
day or perhaps bad luck or whatever.
If Family Of Eagles is actually promoting their Gold bullion coins in
numismatic arenas, then I'd consider placing them on my Numismatic Death
Penalty (NDP) list. I've always smelled rats and so on from FOE.
My NDP list is a list that contains coin companies/dealers who us
knowledgeable collectors/numismatists should not deal with. I will post
suggestions and you may also "write-in" other dealers for whom you think
should be placed on that list.
Suggestions will be posted on the 25th of every month, and results (plus
changes, if any) will be posted on the 1st of the following month to
r.c.c, r.c.p-m, and a couple of numismatic mailing lists......
My opinion, Family Of Eagles = Gobrecht Numismatics, Paul Sims, Mt.
Vernon, etc. = Nothing but "Slime, Crooks, Snakes, Black Spot of
Numismatics, etc."
