I believe the couple who purchased a painting at a garage sale strictly for the
frame got a better return on their investment, When they cut the picture out of
the frame a document fell out that turned out to be an original copy of the
Declaration of Independence. IIRC they got $8 million for it.

Gee! I have two genuine Picassos hanging in my TV room. And I know they're
genuine because I painted them myself. I wonder f they're worth anything.

Well, last year I picked up a love token engraved on a half eagle with
a nice gold chain for only twice face. :)

I have a genuine Rosalie Lowrey painting hanging in the computer room. Who?
Not exactly a household name but she was painting in the 1920s-30s. Mostly
landscapes. The one I have is a very nice winter landscape in a woods with
a stream. Searching for info on the web has been kind of frustrating, I do
know she was born in 1893 and founded an artists organization in Dayton, Ohio.
She is mentioned in several art books. Can't find any auction records for
her paintings. The painting was a gift to my mother many years ago, she might
have been related to the artist but I haven't been able to document that for
sure.

Value? Probably not a whole lot but doesn't matter. I just like it as a
family keepsake.

Interesting? I would guess that that's her.

Yep, that is her, I have seen that picture
before. If I can get the painting I have
into the scanner I should post it. It's a
nice winter watercolor scene.

Can you take a nice photo of it and scan or import the file?
