Here is a search of the items the bidder has bid on;
The bidder is an eBay member since May 22, 2003. The bidder has bid on 52
auctions since 9/2/2003, according to the above bidder list, all with the
same seller and winning some as early as the same date, 9/2/2003. The
bidder has neither left nor received fb, however the seller has a reputation
of leaving fb. The bidder's buying interests seem somewhat varied, going
beyond just coins, and seems to match the variety of items offered by the
seller.
Could it be innocent? I can imagine a scenario where an eBay seller has a
storefront and has a customer who fares better buying from the seller's eBay
auctions than buying at prices listed in the store. No fb exchanges by
agreement for convenience sake. Under this scenario, as long as the bidder
is paying for and receiving the goods, nothing would be wrong.
Of course, a shiller's intent is not to win, but to run the price up as high
as he can without winning. The exceptions are when an item is going too
cheap for the seller and the shill bidder wins and no transaction takes
place, the item remains with the seller. I have not compared auctions to
see if the suspected shiller is winning only auctions that otherwise would
go to cheaply.
I wouldn't bid on this seller's auctions under the current circumstances.
The appearance is enought to make me uncomfortable. Bill
Quick ebaY search by bidder. Yep, looks like gunslinger1872 could be a
shill bidder. Has 0 feedback, but has bid on 52 of eandmcoins' auctions
(the only auctions 'he' bid on, BTW), winning 10 of them, yet, somehow
still has 0 feedback! Funny how that happens!
Of course, maybe eandmcoins just never leaves feedback for
gunslinger1872.
Good luck with your battle.
