PMs are taking a hit, particularly silver.
So I pose the question: time to buy or time to unload?

Buy the fooking dip!!!

My goodness, that's a very basic acronym in the PM vs. Death of the
Dollar game.

At least you got the "F" correct.

How can you really be sure?

PMs sharply lower again.
Silver below $40 and it looks like gold will go below $1500.
There doesn't seem to be any support whatsoever for silver and very little for
gold.

In the long term I'm bullish on PMs.
In the short term I feel this correction has not yet played itself out.

PMs still sinking.
Germany demands Portugal sell its gold in exchange for bail out.
Exchanges raise margins on silver.
Silver down in the $37 range and still sinking.
Gold dipped below $1500.
The panic has set in and there will soon (if not already) be a golden
opportunity to buy PMs.

Two popular gold and silver EFTs have silver trading at a near-record low of
33:1 against gold, down from a high of 87:1 less than three years ago.

It's reasonable to suspect that silver has been ballooned beyond sound
market levels and the ratio to gold will creep back up. So now might be a
good time to dump silver in favor of gold.

Those who didn't dump their silver pretty much missed the boat for now.
The bloodbath isn't over though and if you bought silver a year ago, you can
still sell it at a profit if you move fast.
Percentage-wise, gold has held up better than silver, although it is still down
almost $100 from its high.
The underlying economic problems that initially fueled the rise in gold & silver
still exist:
Huge deficit spending by the USA and, to a lesser extent, the major European
nations
Unrest in the Middle-East
Potential defaults by some of the EU nations (Portugal, Greece, etc)
Soaring energy costs, which are fueling inflation.
Much of the problem with silver are technical issues from margin requirements,
stop-loss orders and the like.
Ask yourself where do you think the dollar will be in 5 years time and where you
think PMs will be.
