Catalogus 2 van de Zilveren Munten published by Uitgeverij Zonnebloem,
Amsterdam, 1974, lists this Kampen lion dollar on p. 146. There are
two varieties, no date and 1597. The mintmark seems to have been used
throughout the period 1590-1646, so that is little help in pinning
down the date. I don't read Dutch, but the brief notes do not seem to
indicate any special issue in 1597 alone.
My guess is that Delmonte (I do not have his catalog) conflated the
undated and dated issues, listing them both under 1597--unless he
indicates that the actual mintage records (or other indication of
issue) survived and that he consulted them.
