FS: Slabs, Slabs and More Slabs ...

First, my thanks to those who ordered from the recent "FS: Proof Sets,
Mint Sets and Modern Commmoratives" inventory reduction sale that I
posted on r.c.c earlier this month. With several smaller orders and one
large one, I was able to cut the weight of the PS/MS/MC box that I drag
around to local shows and club meetings by almost half.

Unfortunately (?), I spent most of the money that resulted from that
sale on SLABZ at the recent Santa Clara coin show, and I (sigh!) now
have too many to fit on the tray that fits in the top of the PS/MS/MC
box ...

Unless noted otherwise, alll coins are untoned and (in my opinion) solid
for the grade EXCEPT the 1943 Walker which seems to have too many marks
in the field for me to call it a 65 (but then again, nobody pays ME $30
for my grading opinion, so who am I to argue with the Perfessional Coin
Grading Savants?).

I have to make a comment here. Thanks, Ken, for the above descriptions. I
am a hobbyist who sells hamburgers and "Blizzards" for a living. At
different times I have sold coins on eBay or at the local coin show and I
try, as Ken has done in the above description, to give my honest opinion of
the coin. Sometimes I feel awkward kicking the grade assigned by respected
professional graders who see slightly less than infinitely more coins than I
see, but I gotta do what I gotta do. I look at a coin, wonder how in the
heck, then say "but who am I?", then make my comments.

I will also give positive feedback for Ken Barr. I have won a decent number
of his eBay auctions and have never had, over several years, nothing but the
best results one could ever imagine. Thanks again Ken.

I second that motion. Ken gets a positive plus in my book.

As for feeling "awkward" in questioning TPGrades, I must be the most awkward
person in the world, because I think they are so far off base on so many
coins that it just isn't funny. But then, I'm just a cranky old codger who
only goes to a couple dozen shows a year.
