The circulation coins from Canada (poppy, cancer) don't hold their color
long, judging from the circulated examples I've seen
The Canadian poppies rub off rather easily. Being the first coin of its
kind to circulate that is not surprising. The Breast Cancer Awareness
quarter seems to hold up a bit better though I never saw many of those
in circulation.
They're around. I've managed to find about $10 worth in circulation
(from getting change), most are in XF or better condition. I don't
bother to trade modern coins that are less than XF grade. As for the
poppy, the original poppy from 2004 doesn't seem to be around much
these days. Maybe the new poppy for this year will keep it's colour
longer while in circulation.
