I toured the Cleveland Fed in 1991 and the Dallas Fed in 1999. Both
were outstanding. The Cleveland FRB was all restored and old and
wooden and woolen. I have never been to the White House, but people
on our tour (government accountants) who had said that the FRB was
nicer. The Dallas building is all new and modern and built fiber-
optic, etc., from the ground up. Both of them have those hidden gun
emplacements in the loading docks, but in both, the tour guides said
that ultimately, the money is not all that important -- "They can
always print more for us." -- it is the DATA they guard.

One thing, though, from that article:

"$180 billion in gold bars -- more yellow metal than is stowed in Ft.
Knox, and almost a quarter of the world's supply."

If the world supply of gold above ground is not more than $1 trillion,
then are not all the world's currencies seriously inflated?
