I was in a used book store today and remembered that they had, at one time,
some coin folders and I asked about them. She found one Franklin Halves
folder in poor condition and she showed me a Whitman No. 9062 Canadian small
Cents folder with 37 coins in it. She talked me into it for $4.
It's my week for copper!

Here is a scan of it. It looks like it once showed more strap than it does
now.
Opinions?

There's actually an opening for a '36 dot in a Whitman folder? The world
will surely end soon!

I have this folder (an old version- the last printed date is 1958,
with no mintage figure for that year), and the '36 with dot hole has a
punch-out piece with "RARE" on it that fills up the hole. So, you
could punch out the piece and insert the coin, if you wanted, or you
could just leave it in place and still convince yourself that you'd
filled all the open spaces in the folder.

I've punched out and filled exactly one plug like that, the one in the
British North America folder that houses the New Brunswick half cent of
1861. I am sure I must have had the Canadian small cent Whitman as well way
back when, and just forgot that it had that feature. Thank goodness, now
the world can go on turning!
