Did you report this auction to eBay? Might have been helpful if you had
had Frank's link to the Heritage auction ... I got one pulled last week
that way (1880-CC silver dollar in a fake PCGS slab -- seller was in China).

This seller's feedback would indicate that he had no idea that the coin
and slab were fake -- send the seller a note and give them a chance to
rectify their mistake.

Frank, how one can understand that a slab is fake or genuine?
Is there an easy way or just if the coin does not justify the grade on the
slab it is the first red flag?

The seller has ended the auction. A year ago, almost all of these
were being sold direct from China. Now many have
worked their way into mom & pop coin shops, pawn shops, and
collections where they will be a scourge on the hobby for
decades.

The font on the label is not quite right, but when a coin with the
same serial number is
located in the archives of Heritage Auctions or Teletrade, and looks
nothing like the suspect
coin, that is about as close to 100% sure that the eBay coin is
fake.
