looking for information on this book

I have a series of 14 books titled "Sacred Books and Early Literature of
the East" that I was wondering in anybody new anything about. It has a
copyright of 1917, and a seal of authenticity inside the first page that
states:
THE ORIENTAL FOUNDATION CERTIFIES THAT THE MEMBERS EDITION OF THE SACRED
BOOKS AND EARLY LITERATURE OF THE EAST consists of two thousand numbered
and registered copies of fourteen volumes each. This copy, no 54 was
prepared for G.L. Carlson

The books are in good to excellent condition. Help me find some
information on it.
