Does anyone have any information on this? Lots of us here in Dallas know
Beck.
Thanks,
Eric

Sorry, that should have been 4 others. And all of Scott's
Mountain Madness clients (Sandy Pittman, et. al.) are
supposedly now safe at Camp 2. The missing are from
other group(s).
The missing are Yasuko Namba, Andrew Harris, Seaborn Beck
Weathers and Douglas Hansen. SAR underway as of Saturday evening,
USA time. Still some hope for these people, not much hope for
Scott Fischer.

-Eric (trying to focus on a thesis defense with not much success)
I heard on the radio this morning that a helicopter rescued two climbers
at 5700m (approx.) but that more are still missing.

Make that 7; 3 Indians also died on the North side in the same storm.
Outside Online has the most up to date reports I've found.
On the South Col route Rob Hall, Scott Fischer, Yasuko Namba, Andrew Harris
and Doug Hansen are dead. Apparently all the other members of Rob and
Scott's groups are safely down.
