I have the chance to buy a '69 20' Bertram Mopie that has been
restored...except it needs the hull and deck painted. The fiberglass has been
stripped of all the old paint. Any idea how much is a good price to have a
boat painted?

Thanks in advance...

That`s a rather open ended question. You get what you pay for and all that. And
I would expect any good painter not to warranty his work if he did not do or
over see the stripping and prep work.

Are you talking about just having someone spray it? Or is there more prep work
to be done? If so, how much work needs to be done?

This month's Soundings Magazine has an article on boat painting.
Check it out. You can pay $100 a foot or even more for some jobs.
