I have a Bravo 3 with about 300 hours on it. I have just completed the
Spring commissioning which included replacing the lube in the outdrive
(QuickSilver High Perfromance Gear Lube). Now I find that I cannot
shift out of neutral into either forward or reverse. The shift doesn't
budge. There appears to be no problem with the shift cable.

Anyone ever have a problem like this? Unfortunately, with the current
workload, a mechanic won't be able to look at it for 2-3 weeks.

You dont say if the boat is in or out of the water.
Outdrives ar made to shift when the engine is running. DONT RUN THE ENGINE
ON LAND AND SHIFT!!!!! What you can do is with the keys in your pocket and
the safety lanyard removed have someone turn the prop by hand while trying
to shift the gears.

WHEN YOU INSTALLED THE OUTDRIVE WHAT POSITION WAS YOUR CONTROL IN?
FORWARD,
NUETRAL, OR
REVERSE?

MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE.
