The book I have is dated 1991, so the info may have changed, but try the
British Marine Industries Federation BOATLINE at (0932) 845890. My
reference is "Holidays Afloat", published by the BMIF. If that number is
not good, try the English Tourist Board. The book is a guide to canal
boats and other vessel rentals and included loop and one-way routes
through the various districts. I got it at the group's booth at the US
Sailboat Show.
Another reference is "Holidays in England, Wales, Ireland and the
Channel Islands" (FHG Publications Ltd, Abbey Mill Business Centre,
Seedhill, Paisley PA1 1JN, 041-887-0428), distributed in the US by Michael
Hunter Inc., 300 Raritan Center Parkway, CN94, Edison NJ 08818. At least,
that's the 1987 information. It's primarily guest houses, but has some
listings for canal trips and camping.
