I have a 1989 Glasstream Cutlass 172 runabout with Mercruiser 3.0 inline
4 cyclinder/135HP (I/O drive). The driving belt which turns the pully and
alternator was broken this weekend. By looking at it seems like I have
to unbolt the front engine mount so to get the new belt into the loop.
The idea of loosing the front engine mount scares me quite a bit. Is
there any easier way to change the belt? Is this something I should
leave to a mechanic?
