I am trying to get information regarding this boat (name, pictures, ...
anything).
I wonder if anyone here can give me a lead on this boat.
Thanks in advance.

One is now in Australia, and I think the other is in the US. I've got magazine
clippings about both, I think.
Contact me if you want me to get them out and make copies.
He also was a regular guest on Kentra as was
Brigitte Bardot, details of which can be found
at this link.

Errol's main boat was the Sirocco. It was a California boat in the
1950s. I remember seeing photographs of it when it was in a derelict
state. It was wood so I presume that it has gone to the scrap heap.
Sirocco is a wind that blows out of somewhere into the Mediterranean
Sea. It was a beauty and was about 50 feet. He lost it in the storms
of poverty. At his death around age 54, he was running around the
Caribbean with his protoge, Beverly Adland. He was not on the
Sirocco.
Recommended that you read David Niven's books, He wrote about Errol
in both of them. They are, "The Moon's a Balloon" and "Bring on the
Empty Horses." These are tremendous books but are unfortunately out
of print. I can easily find them in used book stores.

The Sirocco was his second boat by that name (considered unlucky). It was
this boat that he had the incident on that led to his statutory rape trial (of
which he was acquited). After he sold the Sirocco, he had another ship, the
Zaca. He filmed a documentary on it, "The Cruise of the Zaca" where he went
bowfishing with Howard Hill (the archery champion, who did work on Robin Hood)
and collected marine biology specimens with his father (a marine biologist at
a university in Tasmania, the specimens now reside at the Unversity of Texas,
I believe). Flynn died in October, 1959, at age 50.

You might also check out "My Wicked Wicked Ways" Flynn's autobiography,
ghostwritten by Earl Conrad and published posthumously. Also Conrad's book
about the writing of that bio, describing how they wrote it while Flynn was in
Jamaica.

Sirocco was running around St. Thomas as a charter boat during the
seventies and eighties. I did some work on her in the mid-eighties and
she was prety rough and barely able to stay in the charter trade. She
was sold and went to West End slipway in Tortola for a re-fit that went
bankrupt from my information. I saw about 40 grand worth of shiny new
deck stuff one time being readied for installation but a lot of the hull
was rotten, (one owner used the bilge for a shower sump for years). I
was away from the Virgins during 1988-1990 and when I returned I heard
that she'd been sold again and reportedly to someone who had the money
and inclination to do her up right. I haven't seen her since then. She
was indeed one of the prettiest boats around.

Hi,
Two of Errol Flynn's boats were in New Zealand in the 1960's. They were
'Barbary', and 'Curlew'. 'Barbary', was one of if not the first boat
used by the 'Greenpeace hippies', before they used the 'Fri' (pronounced
Free). The 'Curlew', was here for a refit and may have been a new name
for her. But she had a double bed in the aft cabin with a brass plaque
inscribed with Errol Flynn's name and a woman who I cannot bring to
mind.
