1. An apparently unused, snazzy marine compass that is about 10" in diameter
and 6" high. Probably solid brass, fully functional, painted flat.black.
Markings around fixed rim: "1942 THE LIONEL CORPORATION NY". On card: "LIONEL
USA". Solidly boxed shipping weight about 30 pounds. With some paint remover
and considerable elbow grease, it might really sparkle.
2. A crackle black finished sextant in its original wooden, latchable box.
Looks completely unused. ID inside says: LEUPOLD, Sextant Serial number 3200.
Manufactured by Leupold & Stevens Instruments, Portland Oregon USA,
Magnification 2.5X, True Field 6.5 degrees, NOV 5, 1945. Card includes index
correction data, and is signed by E. Rutschman. Shipping weight maybe 20
pounds. Really handsome piece of marine nostalgia. What am I bid?
