I finally saw the movie last night, before it leaves the big screen,
and was wondering the same thing myself.
The configuration didn't look conducive to modification into anything
other than what she is, a fish boat, and it seems the only way to
command the price they wanted was to sell her to someone that wants to
entertain on the "movie boat"

Capt Lou of "Nautical Talk Radio" heard every Sunday morning 8 - 9 on WPRO
630AM serving Rhode Island and every Sunday afternoon from 4 - 5 on WATD
95.9FM serving Massachusetts.
Actually the boat used in the film ( I threw out today's newspaper so
I don't know the exact name, Lady Grace sounds right) is now in
Huntington Harbor, Long Island, New York. It's docked at a place
called CoCo's. It is supposed to be part of a parade of ships
tomorrow (Sunday) at 11 am.
The ship is just here for a short time and has been "on tour". The
article did mention something about money going back to the families
too. There was a pic in the paper as well. Wish I had saved it.

Oh yeah, I forgot to note the article also mentioned that someone had
painted over the "Andrea Gail" lettering. Apparently without
permission. This happend in Gloucester. Now the ship is lettered:
Lady Grace
aka Andrea Gail
This is seen clearly in the pic. Really wish I had saved it now,
darnit!

Yep - that's where it is. CoCos is a night club in Huntington Harbor - with the
only available dock in the harbor long enough to accommodate her. The parade of
ships is part of Long Island Fall Festival in Huntington - quite a huge event. Lady
grace is supposed to return to Massachusetts after this I am told.
