I'm planning a trip to Alaska, deep in Bear country, and I'm in need of airhorn refill cartriges (we use airhorns to repel bears). Because we are flying into Cordova and because you can't take such things on commercial airplanes, we were hoping to pick them up there. Any help with names of places where I could find these (like Marine supply stores in town or maybe in Anchorage) would be greatly appreciated.

A friend of mine has one of those hand pumped air horns. They are every bit as loud as the gas ones. But you do have to pump them up rather often. You get a few good blasts, then you need to do some pumping.
