FS: JY9 SAILING DINGHY GREAT PRICE!

Less then one year old, JY9 sailing dinghy. Bought in July 1996 , this boat is less than
one season old. Comes complete with sail, 2 piece aluminum mast, boom, boom vang, centerboard and
rudder, removable wooden rowing thwart, hiking strap, tiller extension, all rigging and a pair of
new oars. This boat can be rowed, sailed or motored with an optional kit from factory. Makes a
great tender as she is self bailing at the mooring, or a terrific first time sailboat for child
or adult.
As a sailboat she is great, I ve had her out in 20kts plus and she flys. The boat weighs
in at 95 lbs making it easily launched and she sails even in a whisper. With a beam of over 4
feet and a lenght of 9.5 feet she is very stable and non sinkable due to composite foam core
construction and rights wihtout even having to get up on the daggerboard, in short with the
greatest of ease. setup time is less then 5 minutes from shore to water. I launched her from a
pier to a floating dock in Manhattan alone so that's how easy it is to handle this boat.
The hull and cockpit, which is big enough to hold 3 adults when rowed or 2 when sailed, are
all white and can be cleaned with soap and water. Except for a few scratches on the hull and rub
rail, the boat is like new.
Moving up to a bigger sailboat, I've got the need for speed:), and must sell. Paid 2,200.00
complete from the factory and will let it go or the bargain price of 1,500.00! This is a final
offer. Boat is easily car toppable as mast breaks down into 2 pieces. First solid offer takes the
