I'm wondering if anyone has any good leads on an online store that has an
abundance of used marine equipment, salvage etc... For certain items I'm not
picky on used vs new and could certainly benefit from the discounted prices
being the frugal sailing type.

Thanks

Jeff

Up here in Boston its Marine Exchange. They usually have a lot of winches
and other stuff. Very good prices on most things, especially NE Rope.

I've always found plenty of equipment to choose from at Minney's
http://www.minneysyachtsurplus.com/ in Newport Beach, CA.

They shipped a radar and some other hardware to me without a hitch.

www.cast-aways.com out of Sacramento, CA and Captain's out of Seattle, and
Marine Exchange out of Port Townsend (AKA Bad Bob's Bargain Boat Basement -
One Flight Up), and there's several listed in Latitude 38 or 48 Degrees N.
Latitude Magazines (on-line or printed edition) just for starters.

Not surprizing. Their trade in deals on winches were pretty bogus.

You might try Sailors exchange at St.Augustine.I have lived on both coasts and
travelled the Marine Flea Marketcircuit
with Jack who owns Castaways in Sac. We are close;however Sailors Exchange is
as close to Minneys in Costa Mesa as you will ever find and Sinclair's prices
are much better!!
