Things sure have changed from sonny taking off and mom getting a letter once
a month from strange sounding places to these wild people escaping the
mundane, ordinary rut that everyone else is stuck in...........but feeling a
need to check in multiple times a day with friends and family who are able
to follow every move via electronic tether.
I like the old, "Hey Bill, see ya in a couple months" more than Bill
freaking out cause he didn't get the daily e-mail, SPOT track, etc.
But I can see where family and friends would want this electronic peace of
mind when loved ones ignore common knowledge and do things like venture into
hurricane alley during the season.
I like the idea that I can learn from other's mistakes and don't have to
make them all myself.

The anonymous vacation is good, I agree.

But I am currently negotiating with friends to get transportation and a
place to stay.

Don't have family where I am going.

So far it looks like I will be leaving on Thursday.

I may try to get a ride from my friend or get a one way ticket

there is no train to that destinatipn.

so i have to get someone to drive me to and from the stations that are 1-2
hours away.

Since it is 4 hours it's a saving of 4 hours to take the train as opposed to
driving for me or anyone else
driving with me

it's all really hard to arrange plus which I have been on the phone and
emails to everyone trying to find old friends to let them know I am coming.
