CURRY RICHARD "RICK" C., born October 31, 1953 in Hobbs, New
Mexico, died October 22, 1999 of lung cancer. Graduated from
Richardson H.S. in 1972. Attended the University of Texas and
was a member of the U.T. sailing team. Opened Mariner Sailmakers
in 1976. Survived by his wife, Pamela McJunkin Curry; daughter,
Kenna Jeigh Curry; father, James R. Curry; sister, Jenny Curry;
brother, James Curry all of Dallas, and sister, Susan Curry of
Kansas. Memorial services will be at 4:00 p.m., Monday, October
25, 1999 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel followed
by a celebration of his life at 10161 Daria Place, Dallas.
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box
560089, Dallas, Texas 75356, (214) 631-3850. Please include
name of deceased and request acknowledgment.

As noted, Rick founded and ran Mariner Sails till just before
his death. He provided the North Texas region with a valuable
service, and was a friend of all sailors. He will be deeply
missed by all.
