I bought a used aluminium jon boat which had been left in the water long
enough to aquirer some barnicles. I scraped them off and used a sander
to renove the residue, leaving bare metal. What primer and type paint
should I use to cover the bare spots? The boat will be kept on a trailer
when not in use. Thanks in advance.

"If" it's not going to be left in the water for more than a weekend at a
time I wouldn't use anything. Otherwise they make a special bottompaint for
alumunimum. Use whichever primer any individual paint manufacturer calls
for.
