For interior (dry) usage, any good quality GFCI outlet is
satisfactory. For exterior usage a weather proof box and cover is
required (also GFCI).

A very good line of marine AC wiring products is made by Hubbell of Milford, CT.
See: http://www.hubbell-marine.com/catalog.htm
for their marine product line.

Amen - except they are $0.79 up my way. All switchable or
disconnectable electrical things eventually incur some corrosion over
time; when it is problematic with an outlet, it takes 5 minutes to
renew it with another $0.79 or $1.50 outlet. For the fastidious or
those who don't know that an AC outlet carries AC, yellow spraypaint
is $2 a can. Depending upon specific location & use, a watertight
cover may make things worse instead of better.

If they're interior, it doesn't really matter much as long as they're
wired correctly. If they're exterior, use IP66 rated outlets. That's
what we use on oceangoing vessels for weather deck outlets.
Talk to a good electrical wholesaler not a marine chandlery.
