I posted photos meant for alt.binaries.birds here by mistake. The problem
is twofold. I don't pay attention and I'm using
Windows 7 . I'm using Windows Live Mail as my newsgroup reader and for some
reason when I open alt.binaries.birds to
post my photos, it "jumps" to my last group alphabetically to rec.birds.
And I think I'm still in binaries.birds and go ahead
and post the photos. Poor excuse, I know. But I'll get the hang of it.
And no, I'm not switching to Firefox or Mozilla. And
I'm not getting a Mac.

Well the good news is most mainline USENET servers won't pass binaries
even if posted.

The bad news is, more and more servers don't carry the alt.binaries tree.

I use Picassa, or Kodak, there are others that work.

They are not showing up here--at least Giganews does not show and
photos. I do not know enough about Win 7 or Live Mail to offer you any
advice. There might be a setting to stop. I would not get a MAC
either--I found it more difficult to navigate around on than Win 7 and I
do not plan to ever rung that OS. :)

Yabbut ... that Boat Tailed Grackle is a beautiful shot!

A treat for those of us (me, anyway) who don't watch the binaries groups.
