Netscape News Problems, Anyone Else?

It could be my server but I was wondering if anyone is having problems?

I"m reading and posting through Google, absolutly primevil!

their newsserver, but no clue about sbcglobal.

Let me just suggest that interested readers using a Windows platform get a
standalone newsreader; I use XNews.

Of course, there are options for Linux and Mac users as well.

I use Netscape 7.2 as my internet browser and mail & newsgroup reader
both, and have not had any problems whatsoever. Comcast is my provider
and I got newsgroups via giganews thru comcast. The only change they
had was a server name change as ng's still come via giganews, albeit
with a different server name. A seemless change that took place on the
18th. It has nothing to do with Netscape, however the server name has
to be changed there so it knows what to connect to.

Not knowing what manner of problem(s) you're having its hard for anyone
to assist.

My last Netscape update was 7.2, which I may start using again. I'm now
using Thunderbird and Firefox, which is nearly the same.

I updated to 8.0, big mistake, had a bunch of problems, uninstalled it,
still having little problems but much better.

I tried 8.0 too but it looked like it was a browser only and not a mail
& news reader too like 7.2 so I too uninstalled it. I was really glad
it didn't hose up 7.2. I'm not interested in Tbird and the other stand
alone, I want one integrated app and 7.2 does it all for me perfectly!

If I was going to try something else (which I am not) I'd shoot for the
older integrated suite of Mozilla, which I suspect is much like 7.2.
Won't go near IE, no how, no way, manner, shape or form.
