If you absolutely have to go out driving and join the
"dodge'em car" parade of amateurs, please be careful.

I have for years made it a practice hole-up for amateur night when ever
I could. (The truck companies I drove for forbade driving after
midnight New Years Eve.)

I might be talked into driving up to the mailbox, but that is it, I'm
done for the year.

I was supposed to have gone in to the vampire shop today, but had to go
into the same building to talk to the doctor Monday and had the good
sense to fast until then and got the blood-draw done then.

So when I got home my favorite BBQ house last night I was done for the year.

Happy New Year all.

Yup, I went out to the mailbox today and did a "Dave" back flop on the
driveway. My body is still intact, and I found my golf shoes in the
garage and brought them inside to warm up. Big project tomorrow is to
put on those golf shoes and go out to salt the driveway. Other than that,
we just "have" to stay at home, have lobster and bubbles, and look for my
Guy Lombardo tape. Maybe even watch the ball drop in Time's Square - did
you know that ball weighs 11,000 lbs.

Regardless, Happy New Yew Year!

As for going anywhere New Years Eve, not on a bet. have plenty of
adult libations and food and no need to go out and play dodge'm.

Happy New Year from snowy Northern Ontario! We have absolutely no plans
for the evening (sad, considering it's our anniversary too) but hubby is
on call (Dave knows what that's like) for the weekend. We'll likely be
sleeping by midnight!

Tammie in Northern Ontario where we're about to dip into the deep freeze
again.

I will probably be sound asleep when the new year starts. I try to
stay up for the ball drop but usually fall asleep on the couch and
wake up after it's all over.

Besides I always go birding on New Years Day and start my year list.
The first bird I see on New Years Eve is the Bird of the Year. Last
year was the Year of the Blue Jay which was very usual because most
years are the Year of the Cardinal.
They are hard to miss early on a gray winter morning.

Happy New Year to all and please stay safe.
