Yesterday I went to a new place (for me) to bird. It is the Silver
Buff Audobon site. Not too far away and with some really nice ponds
and reedy places. Unfortunately I picked the day they had a large
group of middle school kids there for an outing and most of the birds
had gone elsewhere for the day. That plus the fact that November is
not the birdiest time of the year meant that I didn't see many birds
I did see a couple of Hooded Mergansers and a Swamp Sparrow both birds
great to see. They do have a good list of birds that have been seen
there and I will go back.
