This is the most consequential lawsuit in America in this century -- not excluding sending the determination of abortion "rights" back to the States, and also not excluding the vicious lawfare of the Biden Administration on Donald Trump -- but I had to go to an Australian blog to get a decent brief summary because the American Mainstream Media is either too sold-out or too stupid to realise that free speech is the prime liberty on which all other liberties owe their descent.

I have no doubt that the Supreme Court will reduce the million dollars in exemplary damages to something in the order of four or five dollars, or possibly even zero, as no actual damages were proven. The jury, by giving an award of one dollar essentially called Michael Mann's case unproven, but gave him a million dollars in scientism award, scientism being the practice of putting scientist on a pedestal once reserved for an infallible god.

God, American "justice" is despicable, almost as ridiculous as global warming "science".

I can hardly wait for this to get before the series of courts to get to the Supreme Court. There are at least a THOUSAND climate scientists willing to testify that CO2 does NOTHING in the atmosphere over perhaps 100 ppm. Not to mention we have the EMAILS between Michael Mann and his collaborators that discuss that the ONLY way to lend any veracity to his hockey stick predictions would be to erase climate history which they set about doing in recordings. https://realclimate.science/2014/06/23/noaanasa-dramatically-altered-us-temperatures-after-the-year-2000/#gsc.tab=0 down the page is an animated recording of the historic tenperatures before and after the Michael Mann and NASA tampering. This is a criminal offence by NASA and at the change of government in November the prosecutions will commence.

I agree with you, Tom, and have often said that Michael Mann should be charged and tried, but today the question must be asked: Where would one find a jury who'll convict him? I think that is a fair conclusion from the farce in Washington, where a jury perversely decided that Mann was not libelled and suffered no damage, so they gave him a derisory dollar for playing, and at the same time decided Simberg and Steyn are not entitled to criticise Mann even fairly, and levied a million dollars' worth of exemplary fine on them, which effectively means nobody has free speech against any scientist. You're right, this needs to go to the Supreme Court, the sooner the better. Fortunately Mark Steyn is just the guy to take it all the way, but he is not in good health, and he must first go fight an anti-censorship case he's brought against the Lord High Censor of England, Michael Grade, and his hatchet-woman, Dame Melanie Dawes. -- AJ

You don't know what Freedom of the Press is? WE HAVE THE EMAILS of Michael Mann and his coconspirators discussing why none of his predictions came even close and how to correct that by doctoring the temperature record. And I've already published the change in the historic temperature record as an outcome from those discussions. Mann, hasn't even one chance in 1,000,001 of winning and that judge will be impeached.

You've put your finger on the biggest crime of the globalwarmies, next to the billion or so people their plans will immiserate first in poverty and starvation, and then in death. Their second biggest crime isn't even the wasted trillions of taxpayer money on stupid remedies that don't work "but send the right signal", but changing the temperature record on the original, thus destroying its utility for more honest scientists following them. The fellow who blew Climategate wide open was motivated by *that* scientific crime, and hoped by his exposure to get the "scientists" who did it punished for it. But only Jones was retired early; the rest escaped punishment. Without this original raw figures, we'll never know whether there was a threat, or whether any remedies are at all effective. Consequently, global warming is entirely a matter of faith, fraudulent religion. That is why I say there's more science in Scientology than in Global Warming. -- AJ

You are so stupid that you don't know shit from Shinola. Why don't you cite some more absolute propaganda when we HAVE the emails between Michael Mann and his cohorts discussing how to make his prediction fit the curve simply by erasing the Medieval Warm Period and the Dust Bowl years. And changing the actual temperature history from 1980 to present. He even got NASA and MOAA to change their historic data.

You are a mindless idiot drooling all over your keyboard.

Neither Andre nor I can help it if you are a complete failure at life. Someone that has to lie about everything. You have done that to yourself. If you had become an electrinics technician, you might have become successful had you learned to keep your moth shut though that is hardly likely.

One of the things that these asses don't understand is that we are very close to the end of the inter-Ice Age and all signs point to us dropping into another Ice Age and not global warming. This will leave just about everything north and south of 35 degrees latitude uninhabitable without large energy resources such as nuclear energy. But jackasses like Flunky will continue to extoll his misinterpretation of the data by people interested in only more government grants until he is frozen to death. Maybe we should name an iceberg after him?

Hmm, for some reason my last post didn't post.

But to reiterate, the climate is approaching an end of the Interglacial period which markes the beginning of a new Ice Age. It isn't as if ALL climatologists haven't known this. Depending on the ferocity of the coming Ice Age, human life without a LOT of cheap energy will not be possible from lattitudes 25 to 35 degrees north and south.

Obama told everyone that 97% of ALL scientists agreed that Global Warming was real and happening. If there is one opinion I believe is important it is that of a herpetologist or a member of the Audobon Society towaed Climate Change. The final step in the Interglacial period is that the final slight warming breaks down the polar vortex winds and the cold is no longer limited to the polar regions. Imagine the tears of joy amoung the Woke to discover that no longer will they need fear buring up but instead freezing to death because cheap energy will not be available and 20 feet of snow in their driveway will be commonplace.

Have you noticed that these klowns don't ever ask why the Little Ice Age that followed the Medieval Warm Period is called 'Little"? It is because it was short and sharp (on a geological scale) at only about two-and-a-half centuries, whereas an average ice age is roundabout 8000 years.
