I've just bought a colnago dream frame with flash fork (still waiting for
delivery :-( ). I tried to find some reviews for this fork without succsess.
Does anyone have some experience with this fork? I was thinking of buying a
Force fork instead of Flash, but I think the price difference of 250 Euros
is too much.
Thanks in advance

I've used a Dream with Flash fork for a couple of years, for commuting,
training, and occasional criteriums. It works well, and hasn't been a cause
for concern in that time. It took me a little while to get over the
constant paranoia that my fork might collapse at any moment, it being the
first CF part I've used, and hearing tales of suddenly snapping CF parts.
The first couple of potholes I hit I stopped and inspected the fork, half
expecting to see huge cracks, but of course that didn't happen.
As for weight, the Force is considerably lighter, being all carbon, but the
Dream/Flash combo is pretty light anyway. If you're a weight weeny, then
the Force is probably a good fork to go with, but otherwise, the Flash is
fine, and the steel steerer is a bit easier to deal with when installing it.
I hope you enjoy your new bike. They're amongst the nicer bikes getting
around, and I have certainly gotten a lot of fun out of mine.
In the somewhat mangled words of Jack Nicholson, "It makes me want to be a
better cyclist".
Regards,
Suzy
