I bought the exact same pair. Had the shop I purchased them from use
a pipe cutter to trim them down. Don't recommend you use a hacksaw. One
problem, however. Bontrager supplied some aluminum inserts to reinforce the
ends of the handlebar if you use barends. After cutting them down, said
reinforcers no longer fit. So I just put the barends on anyway. No problems
yet.
Enjoy the handlebars. When riding out of the saddle, or over rough
terrain, they have a pretty plush feel.
