IIRC, MS is the same steel as SL, SLX, etc.

Karl Kuck was kind enough to let me weigh his Basso Ascot, the model
with Columbus MS tubing and lugs. His 58 cm c-c frame weighed 2242 grams
(4.94 pounds) and the fork weighed 725 grams (1.6 pounds) with its 205mm
steerer.

I did not measure its stiffness.

MS was made of Cyclex, the top stuff until Nivachrome came along. It is
stiffer, because of it special shaping, than standard sets of that family.
The weight is roughly the same as SL (Brain nowadays) The production frames
using MS (as in Basso Ascot) were fairly heavy because the massive lug and bbkt
set that came with tubes set was heavy, especially if left in as-delivered
form. Extensive reduction and shaving of lugs and bb can produce an acceptably
lighter frame.
Warning! The seat post diameter for the is an odd 25.0 (I think... Small!) Some
production builders did not use seat tube as supplied in set so check in each
application.
